The Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 16 April 2021 at about 11.20am, the Police received a report from a victim informing that she was purportedly molested by an unknown man at the void deck along Jurong West Street 71. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within 3 hours of the report being made.
The man will be charged in court on 17 April 2021. The offence of outrage of modesty, punishable under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term of up to 2 years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishment.
