The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of outrage of modesty.
On 14 February 2021, the Police received a report from a victim informing that she was purportedly molested by an unknown man along a footpath located within Hong Kah Point at Jurong West Street 51.
On 16 May 2021, the Police received a report from another victim informing that she was purportedly molested by an unknown man at Boon Lay Place on 2 May 2021.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 23 May 2021.
The man will be charged in court on 24 May 2021. The offence of outrage of modesty, punishable under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
