Man Arrested For Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt With Dangerous Weapon

The Police have arrested a 48-year-old Singaporean man for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapon.

On 6 June 2021 at 6.06am, the Police responded to a case of assault at a residential unit along 2 Jalan Bukit Merah Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had attacked four individuals, who are residing in the unit with a knife. The assailant is believed to be unknown to the victims.

The man was arrested by the Police at scene. Two men and two women, aged between 19 and 59, were conveyed to the hospital.

The man is believed to be under the influence of drugs and has a medical history of mental illness. The knife, a chopper, and two pen knives, as well as substances suspected to be drugs were seized from the scene. The man is believed to have acted alone.

Police investigations are ongoing. Further updates will be provided.
