The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft in dwelling cases.

On 10 August 2021 at about 3.10pm, the Police were alerted to a case of theft of cash from a cash register of a stall in a coffeeshop along Clementi Avenue 3.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras and CCTVs, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 12 August 2021. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is purportedly involved in other similar cases island-wide.

The man will be charged in court on 14 August 2021. The offence of theft in dwelling carries an imprisonment term which may extend to seven years and a fine.
