    Man Arrested For Outrage Of Modesty

    The Police have arrested a 32-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

    On 10 July 2022 at about 1.40 am, the Police were alerted to a case where a woman was allegedly molested by an unknown man on the overhead bridge towards Jurong East Bus Interchange. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him.

    The man will be charged in court on 12 July 2022 with the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to three years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
