    Man Arrested For Outrage Of Modesty

    The Police have arrested a 22-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

    On 24 March 2019 about 10.03pm, a 32-year-old victim reported that she was molested by an unknown man along Yishun Street 31. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 25 March 2019.

    The man will be charged in court on 27 March 2019 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
