The Police have arrested two men aged 26 and 27 for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of outrage of modesty.
In the first case, on 28 March 2019 at about 2am, the Police received a report that a 20-year-old woman was molested by an unknown man at a club in Marina Bay Sands. In the second case, on 28 March 2019 at about 3.30am, the Police received a report that an unknown man had molested a 21-year-old woman at a club at Suntec City. Through follow-up investigations, officers from the Central Police Division established the identities of both men and arrested them on the same day.
Investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
