CRIME PREVENTION TIPS

Here are some tips on how you can prevent your motor vehicle from being stolen:

  1. Park your vehicle in well-lit areas, secure all the windows and doors of your vehicle, and remove the key from the ignition, even if you only plan to leave it for a short while.

  2. Engrave your vehicle registration number on the windscreen.

  3. Install an anti-theft alarm system and an in-vehicle camera in your vehicle.

  4. Install a vehicle immobiliser system.

  5. Install additional locks for your vehicle:

    Car, Van and Lorry:

    a. Steering wheel lock

    b. Clutch lock

    c. Brake lock

    d. Gear lock

    Motorcycle:

    a. Front wheel safety lock

    b. Cable lock

    c. Disc or Sprocket lock

    d. Shackle lock
