PA/PP are places where special measures are needed to control the movement and conduct of persons for public safety and security reasons. PA/PP are declared by the Minister for Home Affairs, upon the successful application by the owner.

What are the enhanced powers for PA/PP under the Infrastructure Protection Act?
Photography/videography of a PA/PP is not allowed without the owner's permission. Please approach the owners to seek their permission before you take photos/videos of the PA/PP. Information on PA/PPs that do not grant broad-based permission for photography from the outside and the relevant points of contact can be found here. |
There are enhanced powers to secure the surrounding areas of PA/PP as well. |
Guards may:
- Request for identification
- Direct persons to leave
- Inspect belongings and vehicles for dangerous items
Are there exemptions from the need to seek the Authority’s approval before taking a photo of a PA/PP?
Persons with the following permits / licences and acting in accordance with the permit / licences are exempted from the need to seek the Authority’s approval before taking photos of a PA/PP.
