Man Arrested For Voluntarily Causing Hurt By Dangerous Weapons

The Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons.

On 22 December 2024 at 10.35pm, the Police received a call for assistance in the vicinity of Blk 214 Marsiling Lane. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man purportedly got into a dispute with a 25-year-old male victim, and had allegedly used a Swiss Army knife to attack the victim. The man was eventually detained by two passersby and subsequently arrested by the Police.

The man will be charged in court on 24 December 2024 with the offence of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons under Section 324 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, a fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.

The Police have zero tolerance for such brazen acts of violence and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
