Police have arrested a 33-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman for their suspected involvement in a series of theft from vehicle committed at the heavy vehicle carpark along Dairy Farm Road.
2 In March 2015, several cases of theft from vehicle were reported at the heavy vehicle carpark along Dairy Farm Road. For those cases, the vehicles’ windows were smashed and valuables were removed from within.
3 Following the reports, officers from the Jurong Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations. The officers managed to establish the identities of the suspects and subsequently arrested the duo at Segar Road on 15 June 2015. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are believed to be involved in at least nine cases of Theft from Vehicle.
4 The suspects will be charged in Court on 17 June 2015 for the offence of Theft from Vehicle with Common Intention under Section 379 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they will face an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
