Police have arrested a 66 year old man in relation to a case of shop theft and a series of mischief cases.
2 On 28 January 2015 at about 3.45pm, Police were alerted to a series of mischief cases along Goldhill Avenue, where the wipers of vehicles had been bent.
3 Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is also believed to have committed shop theft at Goldhill Avenue after committing the acts of mischief.
4 Following extensive enquiries and investigative follow-up, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the suspect. An operation was mounted on 3 February 2015 and the suspect was arrested.
5 The subject will be charged in the State Court on 18 June 2015 for the offences of Theft in Dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal code Chapter 224 and Mischief under Section 426 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offenses carry an imprisonment term of up to 7 years and 1 year respectively.
