Thirteen subjects, comprising 11 males and 2 females aged between 14 and 60, were arrested for various offences following an 18-hour joint enforcement operation that commenced on 9.30 am on 22 July 2015.
The operation was jointly led by Ang Mo Kio Division and Central Narcotics Bureau Enforcement “F” Division. The officers conducted checks at massage establishments, public housing estates and private estate in Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Yio Chu Kang, Paya Lebar, Yishun and Serangoon.
In this operation, a total of thirteen subjects were arrested. Of these, nine were arrested for drug-related offences, two for operating an illegal gambling den and the rest were apprehended for theft and other criminal offences. In addition, a proprietor was found to be operating a massage establishment without licence. Drug paraphernalia, handphones, various gaming paraphernalia and items were seized as case exhibits during the operation.
Investigations against the subjects arrested are ongoing.
