The Marina Bay area will see many activities over the Jubilee weekend between 7 to 10 August 2015. Large crowds are expected at the Float @ Marina Bay, Esplanade Waterfront Promenade, Merlion Park, Promontory, Marina Bay Sands Waterfront, Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage.

In order to facilitate the activities around the area, the extreme left lane of Raffles Avenue (between Bayfront Avenue and Esplanade Mall) will be closed to vehicular traffic on 7 August 2015 from 7.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.

During the lane closure, access will only be granted to police and emergency vehicles. Auxiliary Police officers, Police officers and SAF marshals will be deployed at the affected junctions to assist and direct motorists. Public bus services affected by the road closures will be diverted. Those travelling to these affected areas are strongly advised to use public transport.

Traffic delays are also expected along Raffles Boulevard, Raffles Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Bayfront Ave, Marina Boulevard, Marina Gardens Drive, Marina Mall, Central Boulevard, Collyer Quay, Battery Road, Fullerton Road, Esplanade Drive, Stamford Road and Nicoll Highway during the Jubilee Weekend1.

Motorists are strongly advised to plan their route early and/or take public transport to these areas. Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking indiscriminately and/or causing obstruction will be towed.

Safety and Security

With the large crowds at the area, the public is advised to be vigilant and to safeguard their belongings. Do note that dispersal from the areas is likely to be slow. The public is advised to be patient and follow the directions of the SAF marshals as well as the Police. As City Hall, Promenade and Bayfront MRT Stations are expected to be very crowded during dispersal, commuters should head towards alternative ones such as Raffles Place, Esplanade, Bugis or Clarke Quay MRT Stations. Adequate signs will be in place to direct commuters to these MRT Stations.

On 9 August 2015 where National Day Parade (NDP) will be held, traffic delays would also be expected along North Bridge Road, Bras Basah Road, Beach Road, Hill Street, Cecil Street, Mountbatten Road, Tanjong Rhu Road, Rhu Cross, Stadium Crescent, Stadium Walk and Stadium Way in view of the NDP road closures.
