Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft from vehicles.

On 6 August 2015 at about 6.40pm, while conducting anti-crime patrol, officers from Jurong Division conducted a check on the 33-year-old man at the vicinity of Block 511 Jurong West Street 52 and found him in possession of a cash card and a tablet computer believed to be connected to reported cases of theft from vehicles.

Preliminary investigations showed that the suspect is believed to have committed a series of theft from vehicles at the carparks of Jurong West and Bukit Batok public housing estates.

The suspect will be charged at the State Courts on 8 August 2015 for the offence of Theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspect faces imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, a fine, or both.
