Two Men Arrested For Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous Weapons

Police have arrested two 18-year-old men for Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous Weapons on 17 September 2015.

On 14 September 2015 at about 5.01 pm, Police received a call for assistance at Yio Chu Kang Road. Upon Police’s arrival, it was established that a 17-year-man was attacked by two men armed with knives.

Following the report, officers from Ang Mo Kio Division and Criminal Investigation Department conducted extensive ground enquiries and established the suspects identities. The two men were subsequently arrested at Buangkok Crescent and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 on 17 September 2015.

The duo will be charged in Court on 18 September 2015 for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous Weapons under Section 324 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
