Police have arrested 2 men aged 17 and 19 who are believed to be involved in a case of theft of motorcycle.

On 9 November 2015, the victim lodged a police report that his motorcycle had been stolen from the car park of Yishun Street 71.

On 12 November 2015, officers found the motorcycle abandoned nearby. Through follow up enquiries, a 19-year-old suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Yishun Street 71 and his accomplice, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested at Serangoon Central shortly after.

The 19 year-old-suspect will be charged in Court on 14 November 2015 for Theft of Motor Vehicle with Common Intention under Section 379A read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Investigations against the 17-year-old suspect are ongoing. If convicted they face a maximum jail term of seven years’ imprisonment and shall also be liable to a fine.
