The Singapore Police Force (SPF), with support from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and other Home Team agencies, conducted an island-wide exercise at various locations from 18 to 19 January 2016. More than 1800 SPF and SCDF officers were involved in the exercise.
This exercise tested the readiness of our forces in responding to multiple island-wide armed attacks. The SPF will continue to conduct similar exercises with other agencies as part of preparations to deal with national security incidents.
At the same time, members of public can play an important role by staying vigilant, and reporting suspicious activities or persons by calling ‘999’ or the Police hotline at 1800–255 0000. Together, we can make Singapore a safe and secure home for everyone.
