The Police have arrested two men, aged 23 and 24 for their suspected involvement in two cases of theft of motorcycles.

On 26 February 2016 at about 10.08am, the victim reported to the Police that his motorcycle was stolen from a multi storey carpark along Senja Road. A few days later, the Police received a separate report from another victim that his motorcycle was stolen on 1 March 2016 at about 5.11pm from a carpark along Petir Road.

Upon receipt of the reports, officers from Jurong Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and in-depth investigations. With the aid of Police Cameras (POLCAM), the identities of the suspects were established and they were subsequently arrested along Mei Ling Street on 9 March 2016.

The two suspects will be charged in Court on 11 March 2016 with the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle with Common Intention, under Section 379A read with Section 34 of the Penal Code. If convicted, each face an imprisonment term of up to 7 years and shall also be liable to fine.
