The Police have arrested four men aged between 17 to 21, believed to be involved in a case of Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous Weapon at Boon Lay Drive.

On 16 March 2016 at about 12.24 am, the Police received a report regarding a fight at Blk 191 Boon Lay Drive. Following the report, officers from Jurong Division swiftly responded to the scene and found two men aged 23 and 34 injured at the location. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men were believed to have been involved in a fight with four other men who were unknown to them.

Through extensive enquiries and follow-up investigations, the four suspects were arrested on the same day along Boon Lay Drive. Two knives believed to have been used in the incident were also seized.

The suspects will be charged in Court on 18 March 2016 with an offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous Weapon with Common Intention under Section 324 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

Any person convicted for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt with a Deadly Weapon shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
