The Police have arrested two men aged 21 and 22 for suspected involvement in at least 2 theft of motorcycles cases

Between 26 March and 27 March 2016, two motorcycles were reported stolen at the carparks of Blk 658 and 685 Hougang Avenue 8. Through images from PolCam and information gathered, the officers managed to establish the identity of one of the suspects. On 29 March 2016, an operation was mounted and the first suspect was arrested at his residence in Serangoon Avenue 4 while his accomplice was arrested in the vicinity of Kay Siang Road soon after. Two motorcycles were recovered and seized as case exhibits.

The two suspects will be charged in Court on 31 March 2016 with an offence of Theft of Motorcycle under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years and shall be liable for a fine.
