The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of car theft.

On 3 April 2016 at about 10am, the victim reported to the police that his vehicle had been stolen from the multi-story carpark at Blk 104A Henderson Crescent. The victim had earlier left his bag containing his personal belongings and car key unattended at Delta Swimming Complex. Through extensive investigations and use of images from Polcams, officers from Clementi Division arrested the suspect along Jurong West Street 74 on 4 April 2016 at around 2pm. The vehicle and the bag containing the victim’s items were recovered.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 6 April 2016 with the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years and shall be liable for a fine.
