The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man believed to be involved in a series of Theft in Dwelling cases.
Between 1 January 2015 and 21 Apr 2016, the Police received several reports of theft of mobiles phones, wallets and cash at Sungei Kadut, Marsiling, Mandai and Woodlands industrial estates. Through extensive follow-up investigations and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Jurong Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him at Woodlands on 22 April 2016 at about 4.30am.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 23 April 2016 with the offence of Theft in Dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, and also liable to a fine.
