Nomination Day will be held on 27 April 2016 (Wednesday). The Nomination Centre for Bukit Batok By-Election will be at Keming Primary School (School Hall), Bukit Batok East Avenue 6, Singapore 659762. Nomination proceedings will commence from 11.00am. Supporters and members of the public are advised to arrive at the Nomination Centre only after 10.00am, when the Nomination Centre is opened to the public.
Candidates are reminded to arrive early and that parking is prohibited at the Nomination Centre. Supporters and members of the public are advised to take public transport to the Nomination Centre.
The Police will be stepping up deployment and conducting security checks in and around the Nomination Centre. Bags and other belongings brought into the Nomination Centre will be subject to security checks. Supporters and members of the public are advised not to bring along items such as sharp object(s), flammable liquids or gas, bulky items or big bags.
Supporters and members of the public are reminded that no placards, flags, or banners of any candidate(s) are to be displayed in the Nomination Centre before the close of nomination proceedings.
The public should not bring in or fly any Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), or drone, into and/or over the Nomination Centre as this could endanger public safety. The Police will take firm action against any person who does so.
The Police will monitor the law and order situation closely, and will not hesitate to take action against any person who is unruly or who commits any offence at the Nomination Centre.
The Police also seek the cooperation of supporters and members of the public to assemble at and to disperse from the Nomination Centre in an orderly manner.
