The Police have arrested 17-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft of motorcycle.

 

On 26 May 2016 at about 7 am, the complainant reported a case of theft of motorcycle at the open carpark of Blk 65 Commonwealth Drive.

 

Following the report, officers from Clement Division conducted extensive ground enquires and follow-up investigation. On 27 May 2016 at about 3.30 pm, officers arrested the suspect at Blk 103A Rivervale Walk. The stolen motorcycle was also recovered. The suspect is believed to be involved in several other similar cases of theft of motorcycles.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 28 May 2016 with the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle under Section 379A Of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 and will be remanded for further investigation. If convicted, they face a jail term which may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to fine.
