The Police will Strive to Ensure IT Systems are Effective

We refer to Ms Juliana Ang Hiok Lian’s letter "IT systems must back up Police's good work" published on Straits Times Online on 24 May 2016.

We apologise for the inconvenience that Ms Ang faced while lodging her report at the Clementi Neighbourhood Police Centre and thank her for her support of our frontline officers. There were some network connection problems at the computer terminal used by the attending Police officers, arising from ongoing enhancements to our IT security systems. We have since rectified the technical issue.

The Police are committed to providing quality service to the public. We have since contacted Ms Ang to explain the cause of the problem and thank her for her feedback.
