The Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.

 

On 31 May 2016, the victim reported to the Police that she was molested by a man at Block 633 Yishun Street 61. Acting on information received from members of public who responded to the Police’s appeal for information, officers from Ang Mo Kio Division conducted extensive enquiries and investigations. The identity of the suspect was established and he was eventually arrested along Fernvale Street on 6 June 2016.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 8 June 2016 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
