The Police have arrested a 61-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Mischief by Fire at Blk 14A Lorong 7 Toa Payoh.

 

On 20 June 2017 at 4.40am, the Police were alerted to a fire at the void deck of Block 14A Lorong 7 Toa Payoh. Officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and managed to ascertain the identity of the man who started the fire and arrested him on the same day.

 

Investigations are currently on-going. Anyone convicted for the offence of Mischief by Fire under Section 435 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, and shall also be liable to fine.
