The Police have arrested a 60-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 28 September 2016, a female victim reported to the Police that she was molested by man at NEX Shopping Mall. Through extensive enquiries and investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Division established the identity of the 60-year-old suspect and arrested him on 29 September 2016 at the shopping mall.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 1 October 2016 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1)(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a jail term up to 5 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
