The Police have arrested a 38-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in multiple cheating cases.

 

In November 2016, victims from travel agencies reported to the Police that they were purportedly cheated by a female who had purchased large numbers of Universal Studios, Zoo, Adventure Cove and Sea Aquarium tickets. The suspect had convinced the victims to release the tickets to her by informing that she had scheduled bank transfer of the payments. However, the victims did not receive the payments and could not locate the suspect thereafter.  

 

Officers from Bedok Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested the suspect on 1 December 2016.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 3 December 2016 with Cheating under Section 420 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone found guilty of an offence of may be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend up to 10 years, and shall be liable to a fine
