The Police have arrested a 45-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of theft of petrol from petrol stations.

 

Between 13 and 14 January 2017, the Police were alerted to two separate cases of theft of petrol from petrol stations located in the western part of Singapore, using a vehicle with a modified number plate.

 

Through extensive investigations, officers from Jurong Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 16 January 2017 at Boon Lay Place.

 

The man will be charged in Court on 18 January 2017 with the offence of Theft, under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. A person convicted under the said offence may be sentenced to imprisonment term of up to three years, or fined, or both.
