The police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of Obscene Act in Geylang.
On 17 January 2017, the police received a report of a man exposing himself to a female victim along Jalan Dua. Following the report, officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive ground inquiries to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 18 January 2017 along Geylang Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to be involved in other similar cases reported in the neighbourhood.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 20 January 2017 for the offence of Obscene Act under Section 294 of the Penal code. If convicted, he is liable to a fine, imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or both.
