The Police have arrested two men aged 20 and 30 for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of Outrage of Modesty.
For the first case, on 12 February 2017 at about 6.43 pm, the victim reported to the Police that she had been molested by the suspect at Universal Studios Singapore, Sentosa. Security officers who were alerted of the incident had detained the 30-year-old man. He was subsequently arrested by the police.
For the second case, on the same day at about 7.52 pm, the victim reported to the Police that she had been molested by the suspect at Chinese Garden MRT station. The 20-year-old man was detained by the victim‘s friend and was subsequently arrested by the police.
Both suspects will be charged in Court on 14 February 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
