The Police are investigating a 64-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Mischief reported in Tampines.

 

On 25 February 2017 at about 10.22am, the Police received a report from a 52-year-old victim, informing that her car which was parked at Blk 217 Tampines Street 23 had been scratched.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the assistance of the in-car camera footage provided by another vehicle owner, officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the man. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases.

 

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing. The offence of Mischief under Section 427 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with both.
