A multi-agency operation led by Clementi Police Division and supported by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, Traffic Police and Central Narcotics Bureau was held in the early hours of 18 March 2017.
During the operation, a total of 6 public entertainment outlets along Sentosa Gateway were checked for possible contraventions of Public Entertainment Licensing conditions. 2 public entertainment outlets were found to have breached licensing conditions. The Police also conducted checks on 40 persons during the operation. In addition, two persons were arrested for using abusive language towards public servants.
Investigations against these two persons are ongoing.
The Traffic Police also conducted an enforcement operation against drink driving in the vicinity of Telok Blangah Road, where 22 motorists were checked.
The Police will continue to work closely with other law enforcement agencies to clamp down on criminal activities. Offenders will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
