The Police have arrested two men, aged 33 and 38, for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of Outrage of Modesty at two entertainment outlets.
On 8 April 2017 at about 1.35am, Police received a report from a victim informing that she was molested by the 38-year-old suspect in an entertainment outlet at Boat Quay. On the same day at about 3.48am, Police received another report informing that a victim had been molested by the 33-year-old suspect in an entertainment outlet at Raffles Link. The two suspects were placed under arrest.
Investigations against both suspects are ongoing. For the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code Chapter 224, the suspects may be jailed for up to two years, or fined, and are also liable to caning.
