The Singapore Police Force held a combined Graduation Parade on Saturday, 20 May 2017 at the Home Team Academy. This parade marks the end of the Senior Officer Basic Course, PNS Officer Cadets Course and PNS Basic Training Course. 693 Full-Time Police National Servicemen will embark on the next journey in their NS life after the parade.
Mr Heng Chee How, Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office graced the event as the Reviewing Officer (RO) for the parade. Numerous prestigious awards were given out to the deserving trainees during the parade. The RO also delivered a speech to the invited guests, graduating squads and their families.
The parade ended on a high note with the graduands singing to the Police National Service March in celebrations of NS50. In addition, the parents and guardians of the graduating trainees were invited to join the trainees at the Unity Square to receive a specially prepared ‘Thank You Card’ and a set of NS50 Commemorative Stamps from the trainees. These cards were all written personally by the individual trainees and they penned down their gratitude to their parents or guardians for supporting them through their special journey.
