The Police have arrested a 59-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty which took place on board a bus along Tampines Expressway (TPE).

On 26 April 2017, the Police received a report from a 14-year-old victim, informing that he was molested by an unknown man. Through follow up investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division and Public Transport Security Command established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 25 May 2017.

Investigations against the man are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
