The Police have arrested two men, aged 22 and 24, for their suspected involvement in a series of theft from vehicles.

On 15 May 2017, the Police were alerted to a case of theft from a vehicle at Buroh Street. Through extensive enquiries and with the aid of images from closed circuit televisions camera (CCTVs), officers from Jurong Police Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 29 May 2017 along Fishery Port Road.

Preliminary investigations revealed that both suspects are believed to be involved in other similar cases of theft from vehicles where cash cards were reported stolen from motorcycles and unsecured vehicles along Buroh Street.

The suspects will be charged in Court on 31 May 2016 with the offence of Theft from Vehicle with common intention under Section 379 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspect would face imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, a fine, or both.
