The Police have arrested a 57-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty along Hougang St 61.
On 1 June 2017 at about 3.50pm, a 27-year-old woman lodged a police report that she had been molested by an unknown man while she was waiting at the ground floor lift lobby earlier at about 2.20 pm. Upon receipt of the information, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of footages from Police Cameras (POLCAMs), the identity of the suspect was established and he was arrested at 4.50pm, within 2 hours of the report lodged. He is also believed to be involved in another similar case.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 3 June 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment up to 2 years, or with fine, caning or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
