The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty at Upper Boon Keng Road on 12 June 2017.
On 13 June 2017 at about 1.32am, a 14-year-old victim reported to the Police that a man had outraged her modesty. Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive investigations and reviewed the CCTV footages. The identity of the suspect was established and he was arrested along the Esplanade on 14 June 2017.
The man will be charged in Court on 15 June 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
