The Police have arrested a 36-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of Outrage of Modesty at Block 614B Edgefield Plains.
On 14 June 2017 at about 7.30pm, a 32-year-old female victim reported to the Police that she was molested by a man at the lift lobby of Block 614B Edgefield Plains. Upon receipt of the report, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and established the identity of the suspect and subsequently arrested him on the same day.
The suspect will be charged in State Court on 16 June 2017 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
