The Police have arrested two men, aged 55 and 57, for suspected involvement in a case of Theft in Dwelling.
On 19 June 2017, the Police were alerted to a case of theft in dwelling from a flat in Jurong West where cash of about S$172,000 was stolen. Through extensive enquiries and the aid of images from CCTVs, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 21 June 2017 at Beach Road.
Both suspects will be charged in Court on 23 June 2017 with the offence of Theft in Dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, and Dishonestly Receiving Stolen Property under Section 411 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 respectively. If convicted for the offence of Theft in Dwelling, they shall be punishment with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, and shall also be liable to a fine. For the offence of Dishonestly Receiving Stolen Property, if convicted they shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 5 years or with fine, or with both.
