The Police are investigating a 60-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Mischief committed on a public bus.
On 4 August 2017, the Police received a report from the management of a bus company that one of the passenger seats on their bus was perforated with toothpicks.
Through extensive ground enquires and with the assistance of CCTV footages, officers from TransCom and Clementi Police Division established the identity of the suspect.
Investigation against the suspect are ongoing. The offence of Mischief under Section 426 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with both.
