The Police have arrested a 35-year-old man for his suspected involvement in several cases of procuring indecent act by a minor.
Between 16 to 18 August 2017, the Police received several reports of online advertisements on Carousel and Locanto that offered to purchase upskirt videos of female students.
Officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive follow up investigations and swiftly established the identity of the suspect. The suspect was arrested on 19 August 2017. Two laptops and a portable hard disk were among several items seized for follow-up investigations.
Investigations are ongoing. If convicted, the suspect is liable to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both.
