The Police have arrested two men aged 32 and 59 for their suspected involvement in two separate incidents of outrage of modesty.
On 18 September 2017 at about 3.15pm, a victim reported that he was molested by an unknown man at the void deck of Blk 760 Yishun Street 72. On the same day, in a separate incident, a student reported that she was molested by an unknown man on board a bus from Pasir Ris headed towards Punggol.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division immediately followed up on the two cases and arrested both the suspects in Yishun and Punggol Estate respectively within the same day.
The suspects will be charged in Court on 20 September 2017 with an offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they each face a maximum jail term of 5 years or with a fine, or with caning or with any combination of such punishments.
