The Police have arrested a 55-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of vandalism.

 

On 23 March 2017 at about 1.40 pm, the Police were informed that six cars parked along Exeter Road had been splashed with paint remover, causing the paint of the cars to peel off.

 

Through intensive probes and extensive ground enquiries, coupled with the aid of CCTV footages, Tanglin Police Division officers established the identity of the man and arrested him along Kent Road on 18 September 2017.

Investigations against the man are ongoing. The offence of Vandalism under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act, Chapter 341, carries a punishment of imprisonment of up to three years or fine up to $2,000, and caning of not less than three strokes and not more than eight strokes.
