The Police have arrested two men aged 45 and 56 for their suspected involvement in a case of attempted cheating.

 

On 4 Oct 2017, the Police received a report that two men had used a debit card which did not belong to him to make payment for a diamond ring valued at S$800,000 at a jewellery shop in Lucky Plaza. Through follow up investigations, officers from Tanglin Police Division arrested the two suspects on the same day.

 

Both men will be charged in Court on 6 October 2017 with the offence of Attempted Cheating and remanded for further investigations. If convicted, the offence is punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
