The Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.

 

On 7 October 2017 at about 9.08 pm, a 13-year-old female victim informed the Police that she had been molested by a man along Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

 

Following the report, officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and arrested the suspect along Lorong 1 Toa Payoh on 8 October 2017, within 24 hours from the time report was lodged.

 

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
