The Police have arrested a 32-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty which took place in the vicinity of Jalan Sappan.
On 30 September 2017 at 2.25am, a 24-year-old woman reported that she was molested by an unknown man.
Through extensive follow up investigations and with the aid of images from Police Cameras (POLCAM), officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division managed to establish the identity of the man and arrested him in the vicinity of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 on 9 October 2017.
The man will be charged in court on 11 October 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years and with caning.
